Coffee Talk Newsletter - 2

Happy Fall Y’all!

Fall is here and we are all for it! Thanks for reading our second newsletter and just know that we are so very thankful to have you as a customer. We have a variety of news and announcements to follow so grab your favorite H&C coffee and cozy up for a quick update.

Love a good coffee read?

Our official coffee blog has arrived. The first blog publication is called “Which H&C Brew Is Right for You?”. This post explains our coffee varieties and where they fall on our boldness scale. There’s a link to the blog post at the bottom of this newsletter.

Merchandise Highlight:

We just sold out of our Deneen Pottery mugs but if you read the last newsletter, we are still anxiously waiting for our new mug shipment. It is expected to be here sometime in November, which is just in time for Christmas shopping! (and I’ve got my eye on the shiny red one!) We will make an announcement when they arrive. In the meantime, we still have our classic H&C white ceramic mug avaliable. This originial mug is available for only $7.95. We also have some very stylish H&C Adjustable Trucker hats that are still in stock. These hats are perfect for H&C coffee lovers and also come in a red and white mesh option. Snag one online or from our office for $29.95.

Employee Spotlight:

This month’s Employee Spotlight is Brian Conner, our Coffee Sales Manager. Brian has been with the company for 22 years now! His favorite thing about his jobs is meeting new people on the customer visits. His favorite H&C coffee is our Sumatra Mandheling blend, and he takes his coffee with cream and sugar. Brian’s favorite restaurant to enjoy H&C coffee at is Jerry’s Family Restaurant in Vinton, VA. Finally, when he is not at work, his favorite thing to do is GOLF! A special shoutout to Brian Conner and all that he does for the company!

With the holidays coming up, we start hearing more about those cliché holiday hotty toddy drinks such as spiked hot ciders and wassail. Coffee often gets overlooked in this category, when really, it’s a wonderful option for a hot adult beverage! My favorite pairing is a cup of H&C coffee (brewed) with a shot of Bailey’s Irish Crème and Kahlua (coffee liqueur). Don’t forget the whipped cream on this one!

  • If you want to spice things up a little here are a few other suggestions that our avid coffee drinkers have provided to me:

    • A cup of your favorite H&C coffee (brewed) and a shot of Patron XO Café (a coffee flavored tequila). With this one, you can add cream and sugar to your liking just like normal.

    • A cup of your favorite H&C coffee (brewed) and a shot of Frangelico (hazelnut-flavored liqueur) and a shot a Bailey’s Irish Cream.

    • And finally, for our whiskey lovers! We can’t forget the traditional Irish Coffee drink. A cup of your favorite H&C coffee (brewed) and a shot of Jameson (Irish Whiskey).
